Written by Paul Lacroix. Lacroix was a French author and journalist, best known by the pseudonym 'Bibliophile Jacob'. He also wrote 'The Middle Ages and Renaissance', 'Historical Costumes of France from the most Authentic Monuments', and more. Illustrated with a frontispiece, thirty-one plates, and numerous in-text engravings. Undated, dated from Copac from copies held at the Sheffield Hallam University. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine, with a very small amount of the spine lifting to the head of the front joint.
