New York, Cassell & Company Ltd., 1988. This is the New and Revised Edition with "The Season of 1887", not the Limited Edition. 27 x 19 cm. 200 p. Includes illustrations, maps, and diagrams. Frontispiece of The Yacht Mayflower in 1886 with 140 line drawings of yachts at sea in-text with other engravings and decorations including one of the Americas Cup. The text is divided into several sections, The History of American Yachting from the early days of the New York Yacht Club to 1885, The Mayflower and Galatea Races of 1886, American Steam Yachting, British Yachting and American Yachting in 1886 and 1887. This copy remains in a good condition. The blue cloth boards are rubbed at the edges and have sustained some tearing along the top and bottom edge of the spine. The binding is tight and the text remains in a clean condition. Heavy extra postage at cost. Heavy requires more postage.
