Told in around the years of WWII, this is a dramatic story of China, where to 400 million souls "The Year of the Tiger", occuring every twelfth year, is a time of terror and foreboding. To the house of Tsui the Year of the Tiger heald special dread. It was a year of ill omen. But the Year of the Tiger came to mean faith and hope rather than misfortune when Chan-po's infant daughter was rescued from a watery grave and adopted into a Chinese Christian family. Bound in brown publisher's cloth with yellow text on the cover and spine. Occasionally illustrated throughout with drawings in black and white. Mild external wear and lightly bumped corners. Inner hinges have cracked yet boards remain well affixed and the binding is quite sound. Unmarked. Part of what is believed to be a clipping of the dust jacket is affixed to the front pastedown. Lacking DJ. A very nice, strong copy. Full refund if not satisfied.
