New Books, Cape Town, 1950. First Edition. Softcover. Good/No Jacket. Signed. 18 pages (complete). Inscribed and signed by Stokes on the frontispage: "That through a long trek of years / the highways and byways spoored by Mr F R Bradlow/ will be fraught with the choicest gifts of life/ is the only sincere hope of/ C S Stokes/ Cape Town November 1961". Stokes also signed by the title page (dated: Cape Town, January 1957). A placid copy. The card covers have tanning, wear, scuffing and marks from storage and handling. They are sturdy and sure. Within, the guttering along the frontispage is ajar, but the security of the book is unaffected. The card pages are narrowly tanned about the edges. There are flecks of age-related marks. The pages are clean, clear, benign, amiable, tidy. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
