Dust jacket is sunned, edge worn, damp stained to spine and rear joint, chipped to head of rear cover, with 3" tear to foot of front flap. All the charm of a folk tale invests this ingenuous story of an Irish lad who came to Canada the year of the plague in Ireland, and was left a homeless orphan on the streets of Toronto at the age of nine.
