Octodecimo. 4.5 x 6.5 in. xiv, 336 pp. Fair in original decorative yellow cloth boards, with bumps and rubbing to the boards and siginificant wear to the upper third of the spine that has resulted in the title being largely rubbed away. The hinges are loose, but remain intact and the pages remain largely clean except for a few isolated spots of foxing. A collection of children's fairy tales, largely comprised of storied by Hans Christian Anderson. The Mershon Publishing Co. operated under this name until 1905. The original Yellow Fairy Book was published by Longmans, Green and Co. in 1894.
