Sobre este artículo

New York: Little, Brown, and Company, 2006. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. 8vo. Yellow paper spine over yellow paper boards. Pictorial endpapers depicting Van Gogh's "Sunflowers." xii, 339 pp. B&W illustrations in-text. Slight bruising to spine ends, else fine in fine dust jacket. From October to December 1888, Paul Gaugin shared a yellow house in the south of France with Vincent Van Gogh. Never before or since have two such towering artists occupied so small a space. They were the Odd Couple of art history and the denouement of their living arrangement was explosive. Making use of new evidence and Van Gogh's voluminous correspondence, Martin Gayford describes not only how these hallowed artists painted and exchanged ideas, but also the texture of their everyday lives.
