The spine is darkened with the head & tail chipped and the titling on the spine is almost completely obliterated. 219 pages plus 16-page publisher's catalog. The pastedowns, endpapers, flyleaf & rear blanks are darkened. There is scattered foxing. Good. <p>From the library of John S. Livingston with his pencil signature on the front pastedown.<p>A collection of the observations of Mr. Yellowplush, "sometime footman in many genteel families", notable for his comments on the ways of the world and his infelicitous spelling. These papers were originally written by Thackeray for Fraser's Magazine.
