Chicago: Book Supply Company. Very Good. 1912. First Edition. Hardcover. Maroon cloth lettered in gilt. Frontispiece by F. Grahm Cootes in color. Very good with bumped corners and lightly worn ends. Gift inscription beautifuly written and dated Christmas, 1912. Recipient name written on the ffep along with a vintage circular Christmas sticker, about a quarter in size above the signature. A handsome, nostalgic copy. Wright (1872-1944) was a best-selling American writer of fiction, essays, and nonfiction. Wright never responded to his critics, except to say that he never intended to create great literature, only to minister to ordinary people. More than 15 movies were made or claimed to be made from Wright's stories. ; 8vo .
