Lawrence Peter 'Yogi' Berra (1925-2015) played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball, winning 10 World Series championships as a player - more than any other player in MLB history. He won the American League Most Valuable Player Award three times and is regarded as one of the greatest catchers in the history of the game. Berra was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.
