Sobre este artículo
Chicago, Illinois: Joesph J. D'Ambrosio, 1970. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. New/No Jacket. Joe D'Ambrosio. Joe D'Ambrosio was one of America's finest and most innovative printers and book designers. He was also a fine artist and a master at silk screening and serigraphs. This volume of story-graphics was produced completely by hand, type is set in 10pt. Century Schoolbook Bold using a flat bed printing press and sundry silk screen techniques. This is the artists first book in a long line of work spanning three decades. This book is number zero zero one of 100 copies. The first. Signed by D'Ambrosio on colophon page and inscribed to collectors Pat and Trudy Magarick in 1991. I would assume this book is from the artist personal collection, given to his good friends of many years. The book is bound in silver cloth, and consists of 44 leaves which are produced with art paper, tracing paper, newsprint, silver foil, gold foil, machine-copy paper, black construction paper and clear acetate. The book was originally bound in white cloth, which the artist located and rebound them in silver paper. There are approximately 19 silk screens applied to various surfaces. A great book artist showing his wonderful skills in his first book A very rare and wonderful find.
