Volume XII in the Boy's and Girl's Library series by Harper & Brothers. Flyleaf with previous owner's name: "William Van Bus Kerk's / Book, Oct 17th, A.D. 1858." Boards soiled and worn. Interior shows some marking and general soiling/age. xiii, [1], (10)-194 pp. 6.25" x 4.25". An account of his shipwreck and residence for several months alone upon an uninhabited island.
