Farrell's famed Studs Lonigan trilogy. This is the story of a young Chicago Irish man who struggles greatly during the early part of the 20th century. Signed by author on a leaf near front of volume. Includes illustrations by Mitchell Hooks and a special introductory note by the author. Franklin Library "Notes from the Editors" booklet about this work is included. One of an unspecified number in a limited edition. --- Bound in full olive bonded leather covers with two raised bands on spine. Spine titling, elaborate decorations to covers and spine, and textblock edges all in bright gilt. Interior leaves printed on high-quality papers. Green silk moire endpapers, with matching sewn-in satin ribbon bookmark.
