Youth adventure story by Canadian-American Bedford-Jones set in ancient Egypt about a 16-year-old boy, Manu, who saves the life of Pharaoh Sesostris's son and so is appointed his shield-bearer and charioteer. Inscribed in a young hand on page [2] of covers: "Elmer Martin from Grandma.".
