There is also a list of companies, with inf ormation on fees, costs, hours, and minimum balances as well as advice on w hat to look for in a money manager. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, he reminds the reader that companies which creatively engage skill and prod uce something useful serve -- and sustain -- healthy communities. Following the trend set by Prudential Bache broker Suze Orman in her best-selling Nine Steps to Financial Success, NAPFA Member Paul H. Sutherland has put together a book that uses a spiritual context for understanding personal financial planning investment. Unlike Orman, Sutherland educates the reader about financial planning. He serves up a good financial feast, laced with "fee-only" knowledge. Particularly satisfying is his concept of investment management for do-it-yourself portfolios. But he does a great job on insurance and gives brief sections on retirement and estate planning as well.
