Chocolate coloured slip case. In 1917 the German Foreign Minister Arthur Zimmerman sent a cable to his Ambassador in Washington for transmission to the German Ambassador in Mexico, announcing that Germany was going to start unrestricted submarine warfare on all shipping, allied or neutral, in the Atlantic. the decoding of that telegram by British intelligence in 1917 ultimately help to bring America into the war. Minor rubbing of the book corners with a little age toning of the text block edges. Fading along the front edges of the opening of the slip case with rubbing and marks also present. Third Printing.
