The author highly respected the Romani people, and in this work also describes their history of persecution in Europe.First published in 1841, this is a 1914 reprint of the definitive edition of 1901.Illustrated with seven plates. Collated, complete. With five pages of advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with a touch of rubbing to cloth at joint heads and tails. internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
