The war of 1879 resulted in the loss of independence for the Zulu kingdom but at a shocking cost to the British. Focusing on the battles of Isandlwana, the initial Zulu victory, and Khambula, the turning point in the war, this tells the story of Lord Chelmsford's invasion of Zululand and the dynamic response of King Cetshwayo's impis. Covering the politics, the main characters, the battles, it is illustrated with contemporary photographs & drawings plus illustrative maps of the main battles, full-page colour illustrations of soldiers in various uniforms as well as a colour study by artist Bud Bradshaw. This is an excellent introduction to further readings on the Zulu War.

Overseas Deliveries: Standard Rate will use courier out of South Africa and then will utilise local postal service for 'last mile' deliveries. Expedited Rate will utilise full courier service.
