Sound and square, with reinforced binding in cloth-covered boards. Some mottling to the boards, particularly upper edges. Edges of the text block have faint foxing. Inside pages are clean and unmarked. The dust jacket has some light edge wear, and a couple of tiny edge tears have been repaired with cello tape on the reverse side. Lightly shelf rubbed. Not price clipped. ($5.95) An attractive jacket. The fourth in a series of books about a Husky dog named Silver Chief. This one finds Sergeant Peter Thorne involved in espionage and murder in the Canadian north. Includes pen and ink illustrations. .

There is a small price inked in the top right hand corner of the free front page, but no other marks or wear. The beige tweed covers are fresh, with just a bit of darkening to the spine. The dust jacket is not corner clipped and is also in very good condition with light edge wear and handling. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A small plane crash-landds near Sergeant Peter Thorne's cabin in the Canadian north, and he and Silver Chief go to the rescue. They "found not only a wrecked plane with a murdered pilot ... but two brutal adversaries and a vicious do, Chelkar, who left the gallant Mountie and his canine side-kick for dead.
