Light soiling outer edge of pages. Jacket has very light edgewear, light scuffing/soiling to plastic cover. Pages are clean and intact, a few earmarks seen. The story of one of the great love affairs of the past - that of Agnes Sorel and Charles VII of France in the 15th century. It is set against a colourful medieval background and peopled with figures well known in history: the placid Queen Mary, wife of Charles; Kind Rene of Napes; Margaret of Anjou, who was to become Queen of England; the little Princess Margaret from Scotland, and many others.
