Dublin: Dolmen Press, 1970. First printing. Paperback. Good. Sewn wraps, good copy with some stains and foxing to covers, inscribed, "For Carol -- from the toad under the stone! Richard 3.11.72." With letter laid in also addressed to Carol dated 12.11.72: "Dear Carol, Honk honk from the Land of Nod. All well there, I trust. I had an epic day in N. Y. after I left -- got very drunk with some friends I hadn't seen for a while, and some new beasties -- Ginsberg, Gregory Corso, and Hunkie the Junkie! Great fun. I all but missed my plane at Kennedy -- had to out out on the tarmac & climb up a ladder through a hole in its arse. Slept across the dark waters and then plop! -- home. The next day I started work at the University, & here I am. Bloody proofs for the bloody book aren't ready yet. Was there ever an efficient publisher?
