They loved the language and didn't really want me to stop reading, but then they followed their plea with, "What did all of that mean?" I decided that a younger version would give them context and meaning, and then in later years, we could revisit Homer's original work. This is the version I chose. It was outstanding. I read aloud daily, and they fell in love with the stories and characters. They still talk about it months later. This book included vocabulary words at the bottom of nearly every page. Even though the definitions were provided, I typed them up and had them alphabetize the words and look them up.
