Colour illustrated dustwrapper with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. These short stories were first published, by and large in the magazine The Captain, and the rest were first published in Public School magazine. A series of short stories set around the boarding school of St. Austin; featuring the teachers (good and bad), the boys (good and bad), and, about rugby. First published in 1903. Softening of the backstrip edges with a little rubbing of the book edges. Age toning of the text block edges and pages with a few foxing spots to the top text edge. A few brown splodges to the rear paste-down. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels. A few marks to the top edge of the rear panel and there is some yellowing also present.
