The black covers are fresh, with just a touch of wear at tips and corners. The gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is not price-clipped, and shows light wear overall. There is a nick of paper missing from the bottom right hand corner (which should be visible in the attached scan), but this is the only serious flaw. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A 'tween' novel about a young girl who others saw as a bully, and how she sorts out her feelings about herself and her family. Veronica's father had disappeared when she and her sister were babies, their hardworking but often short-tempered mother wasn't easy to live with, their step-father seemed almost too easy-going, and their young brother seemed to be the favourite child in the house.
