Used First printing indicated by the number line: "2 4 6 8 9 7 5 3 First Edition" (per standard Random House practice at the time.) $12.95 cover price indicating first edition first printing jacket. Some tanning to the text block and small tear in the dust jacket, and there is a slight sag to the text block and minor soiling on the bottom edges of block where pages have sat on shelf.

Quarter black cloth over fawn papered boards with TB initial stamped on upper board by publisher, unclipped DW has minor rubbing to edges, not sunned or faded except to very edge of the upper joint, export version and bears no publishers price, nice bright copy, SCARCE, there is some slight faint scattered foxing to prelims and closed edges EXPEDITED SHIPPING REQUIRED. DW spine is sunned with the title now a pale blueish colour, the background still deep black, nice bright copy, SCARCE, EXPEDITED SHIPPING REQUIRED. First Edition. Quarter cloth. Very Good/Very Good. Illus. by Hildebrandt. 8vo - over 7? - 9? tall.

USA: Random House , 1977. Book. Very good-. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1st edition, first printing export edition. Jacket has a little corner wear and some small edge tears. Full numberline starting from 2 with the words First Edition above (This is correct for Random House at that point in their history). This is the export edition with no US price to the flap but otherwise identical. Initials TB in copper toned ink as required, There is a little discoloration to the inside of the jacket on the back panel with repeats on the boards. Little age toning to the text block. Colour Hildebrant plate is present and undamaged. Several years since we have one of these in stock !! Over 1kg packed extra may be requested for postage to many destinations..
