Divided into two parts, the book deals with both the freshwater aquarium and the marine aquarium and the necessary tanks and equipment for each, as well as a guide to difference species and fish families, plus their care. There is also a section on aquarium plants. The book includes over 200 color photos and additional black-white drawings, plus a complete subject Index. The book is bound in a red-orange cloth with gilt spine lettering. There is a small nick at the top edge of the front panel and some light shelf rubbing, which is why I rate the book Very Good+.
