Author Anita Avedian is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Beverly Hills, Tarzana, Sherman Oaks and Glendale, California. She graduated with her M.S. in Educational Psychology and completed two certifications including Employee Assistance Program and Human Resources from California State University of Northridge. Her specialties include working with relationships, anger, anxiety, and addictions. Anita is the Director of Anger Management 818, helping both self-referred and court-ordered individuals seek help with their aggression. She has six Centers in the Greater Los Angeles area covering various anger management programs. Anita has authored this program with the help of her staff. Anita Avedian is a National Anger Management Association (NAMA) authorized trainer and supervisor, and offers a certification program to those interested in offering anger management services. Anita is very involved with the professional community. She is the co-founder of the California Association of Anger Management Providers, which is currently the California Chapter of NAMA. Anita is the Founder of Toastmasters for Mental Health Professionals, and serves on the Board for the Armenian American Mental Health Association, the San Fernando Valley Chapter of Employee Assistance Professional Association, and she served on the San Fernando Valley Chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists for many years.
