Between pages 38 and 39 there are six pages of black and white photographs. Photographic paperback binding with pale green and blue coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. This is the story of Kalman Katz's war years. His story is set around a small Galacian town Przemyslany. He survived the early war years by being hidden by an ethnic Russian farmer for three years, as did his mother and father. His brother and sisters and his extended family were taken into the forests and shot by Ukrainian militia. When the Red Army liberated Galacia the author found himself dragooned into the army – " ...
