Unclipped dustwrapper has been trimmed at the inner flaps but with no loss to the text, a lot of old sellotape marks to the rev of dustwrapper, some of the marking visible on the front, also some creasing and small tears to edges. Minor bumping to spine ends and corners of red boards, sellotape marks to front board, marks inside front and back boards where sellotape has been removed, half-title has been clipped with pinking shears, but otherwise internally a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Deals with the British racehorse Persian War, three-times winner of the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham. Signed on f/ep by the joint authors Sid Barnes (Racing Editor of London Evening News) and Henry Alper (owner of Persian War) and also by the jockey Jimmy Uttley (who rode Persian War to victory). 227pp, 19pp b&w illustrations.. Signed by Author. Hard Cover. Good/Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
