The published material on his bushranging career is sketchy and inaccurate, and very little is known of his childhood in Scotland, and the years after he was jailed, and accepted 'the error of his ways'. This short book gives a concise but fully documented biography of the 'Robin Hood of the Burnett' and gives a brief account of the times in which he lived.
