Masha Elkins was an early member of the Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society, where she met her first husband *Locus* editor Charles N. Brown. She moved to England with her second husband, the British fantasy artist Eddie Jones in the 1970s before later returning to America following their divorce to be an editor for DAW Books. A nice association, particularly as the English edition is seldom found signed.
