The only thing that prevents this book from being in like new condition is the dust jacket. Otherwise the book is tight, unmarked and appears unread.library. Dust jacket shows some nicks and scratches and possible sun bleaching of the spine consistent with having sat on a shelf.Covering the type locality for laccoliths, the book is well illustrated with black and white photos and contains the text of Gilbert's field notes along with illustrations from his field notes residing in the Stanford University libraries.
