Binding tight and appears little read; no annotation; light toning to page-ends but text bright and clear throughout. Inscribed to Dick Eberhart (noted American poet) with warm personal note to front endpaper, signed by the author and dated 1980. Also includes a personal letter from the author to Mr. (John Crowe) Ransom enquiring about the possibility of a talk to the author’s poetry writing class at Harvard, dated 1966. Not an old library book.
