Errors in that edition have been corrected, entries have been added, works about Hodgson have been annotated, sections have been rearranged according to date, and the index has been expanded…What I have attempted in the annotations, therefore, is to provide, without becoming too repetitive, a useful cross section of information, both biographical and critical, as a means to establishing an accurate account of the man and his work. Consequently, I have occasionally annotated anthologies and book reviews wherever the commentary contributed to the overall plan of providing unique information or points of view. Very Good.
