This volume presents an overview of the morphological and syntactic structures of Korafe, a Papuan language spoken in the Oro Province of Papua New Guinea. Its focus is on the structure and functions of three types of complex constructions in sentences and discourse: (1) serial verb constructions (SVCs), (2) switch reference constructions (SRCs), and (3) co-ranking constructions. Attention is also given to defining information units that segment SRCs and co-ranking structures, and to examining information packaging in discourse.
