Dr. Petr A. Bilek is the chair of the Department of Czech and Comparative at Charles University in Prague. Dr. Blek belongs among the prominent Czech literary theorists and historians of middle generation. He has published two books dealing with contemporary poetry and one book on contemporary theories of interpretations of narratives, along with a number of articles in Czech, English, French, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, Japanese, and Slovak. In 1994-1995, he was a Visiting Professor at Brown University. In 1995 he received a Mellon Post Doctoral Scholarship to continue his research there for two more years. He returned to the Brown University as a Visiting Professor in Spring 2000.Dr. Vladimr Papou is the director of the Institute of Bohemian Studies, the head of the Department of Literature and Literature Theory and vice-rector of the University of South Bohemia. He also serves as vice-chair of the Fulbright Commission in the Csech Republic.
