An Oak Bluff Womens Institute History Committee was formed then, and some information was gathered at interviews with older citizens. Due to sickness and senior citizens leaving the district, the history project was delayed for some time. In the early 1980's, interest was accelerated when we realized that we must take advantage of sources of information while still available. Further impetus was given when we became aware of the availability of government grants to aid in the financing. We endeavored to contact all residents and former residents of Oak Bluff.
