Full-bound yellow decorative cloth with white lettering along spine. Bumped, rubbed. Pages tanning. Previous owner's book plate affixed to front endpaper and name/date inscribed at bottom corner of title page. The dj is rubbed/scuffed, with some creasing noted along edges. Spine lightly sunned. The dj is protected in an archival (removable) book jacket cover. "An Australian Song' is a remarkable colonial curiosity, discovered in a private collection by Marjorie Tipping during her research into the work in Australia of German expatriate artist and naturalist Ludwig Becker, who perished on the Burke and Wills Expedition in 1861.
