It describes his education at the "genteel and inexpensive" University of the South in Sewanee.The introduction is by Walker Percy, one of three brothers, adopted by their cousin, the poet/author William Alexander Percy himself. It provides an insightful, admiring and tantalising taste of the character of their cousin.
