Illustrated with many interesting period photos, maps, diagrams and other railway information. Contains a bibliography and an index. Original publisher's white printed wrappers. Contents and pages printed on glossy stock. The front cover has a two inch tear to the top near spine which has been repaired on the inside with archival document tape; also a bit of sticker residue which could probably be removed. The covers and the pages are bright and there is no creasing to covers or contents. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings or owner name.
