Acerca del autor

Living in New Mexico for the last 20 years, Victor di Suvero's involvement in the land and the people of his new home are reflected in the poems in this book. Born in Italy, growing up in China, and arriving in California in 1941 at the age of 13, he went to sea as a Merchant Seaman during WWII, to Berkeley University after that, and to a number of careers since then. Writing for more than 60 years, he still thinks poetry is as necessary as air, as water, as bread.
