Hardback octavo, no jacket, very good condition, black boards, gilt title & author front cover, gilt title spine, typewritten text, minor foxing top edge, minor edgewear Unnum pp. This book has been written to commemorate and celebrate the 200th anniversary of the arrival of the Second Fleet in Sydney Cove in June 1790. It follows on from the book First Fleet Families of Australia. The Second Fleet consisted of four ships: Lady Juliana, Neptune, Scarborough and Surprise. The latter three ships included 111 survivors from the ill fated HMS Guardian. This book lists all known families originating from the participants of that fleet. There are 1090 children and over 4000 grandchildren in the 327 families identified (convicts and NSW Corps). The fleet carried 1256 convicts, but 276 died under the terrible condition on board.
