His work was regularly exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1911 and 1951 - the last plate being an ex-libris he made for Ingrid, Queen of Denmark. Some of his bookplates and other engraved prints were exhibited, in 1926 and 1947, at the prestigious gallery of P & D. Colnaghi in Bond Street, London, Wl… By any comparable standard his bookplates are now significantly underpriced. Badeley's early speciality was bookplates for ladies, and these were shown at the Ex Libris Society's annual exhibitions.
