A useful index of names at the end of the book allows readers to locate the exact place in the book where over 140 family names are mentioned." Mary's family arrival was in the Hoffenthal district of Saskatchewan in 1889 with three other young couples (Busch, Burkhardt and Nerbas). She describes the Lowenberger family's heroic efforts to establish a farm on the Saskatchewan prairie, her marriage in 1914 to Henry Popp and the raising of their children. She outlived them all.
