As of 2024, it remains the deadliest aviation accident to occur on Canadian soil. The author was actively involved with all facets of the recovery operation and this story is an account of his experiences during that time. It is, quite simply, the story of the Armed Forces role in one of the worst disasters in Canadian aviation history.
