This history offers an account of the original European settlers. with details of their country of origin, a bit of family history, and where they settled. The growth of the county in recorded with themes of religion, farming, transportation, and urban growth. Throughout, there are mentioned individuals and families provided considerable genealogical information. There are many photographs, charts, maps, a bibliography, and index. There is also a fold-out map at the end of the text showing the extent of the county.
