Palala Press, 2015-09-15. Hardcover. Very Good. This is dated on the title page as the 1875 printing by Henry S King & Co, London, making it a first edition, possibly first printing. Woodblock illustration opposite title page in perfect condition, even protective covering film paper is in very good condition, no tears. Red brick color hardcover boards still very flat, minor edge wear, corners worn and softened, worn through. Spine softened at edges, no tears or fraying. Gold embossed title on front and spine still very good, minimal fading, black design on front and spine still very good. Hinges and gutters still very good, very well attached to binding. Pages are irregular cut on leading edge, are furry to the touch at the top (probably as a result of the cutting process), otherwise unmarked or folded, no noticeable yellowing or browning.
