Ricardo J. Rodrguez is a native of San Antonio, Texas where he and his brothers shined shoes as young boys to help support their family. He and his family also traveled to Minnesota and West Texas every summer working in the fields as migrant workers. Mr. Rodrguez is a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran, where one of his duties was as an interpreter in Spanish. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayland Baptist University and plans to pursue a graduate degree in Bi-Cultural and Bilingual Studies. He is also an avid Genealogist and has traced his ancestors to the early settlers of Northern Mexico and South Texas. Mr. Rodrguez was honored as a Thousand Points of Light Volunteer by President G. H. Bush. He was also the 1993 Marine Corps National Image Meritorious Service Award Recipient.
