About the Author Douglas F. Sainsbury was born and raised in Chicago's west suburbs of Oak Park and River Forest, Illinois. He attended and graduated from Oak Park-River Forest High School (Ernest Hemingway's alma mater), and then attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating with a BA degree in English. Following college, Doug received a Juris Doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology's Kent Law School. World events in the 1960's shaped the next chapter in Doug's life leading to a tour in the U. S. Army, including fourteen months in Vietnam. His paramount assignments were Battalion Legal Specialist and Public Information Officer (War Correspondent - News Reporter and Photographer). After military service, Doug spent forty years in the consumer credit and banking industries, the last nine years in the capacity of Managing Examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Doug retired to Southern California in 2011 to be closer to his children and to pursue his lifelong dream of writing fiction. Intrusion is his first novel. Feedback is most appreciated.
