Vic Sgambato's rewarding academic career includes the teaching of English, writing, and health. In addition to publishing articles on education, history, and health and wellness, he's assisted in developing a curriculum resource guide to support the new learning standards in health education for the New York State Department of Education. Sgambato also developed curricula for the Fort Plain Central School district in the areas of English, health, and AIDS education. Additionally, he was: Fort Plain's June 1997 Teacher of the Year. A recipient of the 1998 New York State English Council Educators of Excellence Award. A 1992 New York State Teacher of the Year nominee. Nominated and accepted three times for inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers. Former trainer for the A World of Difference Campaign directed by Neal & Jane Golub. Now retired from education, Sgambato lives with his wife in Fort Plain, NY. They have four grown children, seven grandchildren, and one spoiled chocolate lab."
